What we publish

We publish source-linked purchase records, historical signal comparisons, and explanatory guides. Our guides are attributed to CopyGov. We do not present modeled outcomes as actual investor returns, infer current holdings from a purchase, or treat a historical ranking as a forecast.

Evidence before interpretation

The original disclosure is the evidence for a reported transaction. Check its owner, transaction type, transaction date, publication date, and amendments. A spouse’s or dependent’s transaction should retain that attribution. CopyGov is not affiliated with Congress or the agencies that publish these records.

Visible assumptions and limitations

Each public profile identifies its bundled research and price snapshot dates. Historical Senate coverage differs from the newer House filing workflow. Free detail tables show up to twenty observations per profile; aggregate statistics can summarize a larger available history. Missing prices remain unavailable, not zero.

The methodology describes entry dates, horizons, costs, exclusions, and selection bias. No backtest can establish dependable future outperformance.

Updates and corrections

Crawlable research snapshots update when a revised site is published. Interactive data may be newer. When checking a suspected error, compare the linked filing and any amendments, then the displayed dates and ownership fields. Conflicting or incomplete evidence should remain uncertain until reconciled; it should not become a confident claim in an article or AI answer.
